TTV

TTV which stands for ‘Through The Viewfinder’ is a photography technique that I am particularly passionate about. TTV means to shoot through the lens of an older camera (in my case a kodak duaflex) using your digital camera to create distinctive square format photographs that have a nostalgic and vintage feel.

Each camera produces its own unique scuffs, blemishes and light leaks which are embraced rather than avoided. In an age where digital photography is becoming increasingly professional looking, I have chosen to go back to how I have always viewed photography, as a mechanism to captureĀ  memories and feelings, to convey a unconcious sense of the moment photographed.

A blast of light
